Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

Please try to use Grammarly and iThenticate to check the manuscripts for Grammar & Plagiarism before submitting your papers, thanks!

  • The submission file is in  PDF format. To ease the workload for the managing editor, all accepted papers are required to be typeset in LaTeX.

  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • You are requried to prepare a cover letter  (in word file or PDF file) which should  provide information of 3-5 particularly qualified reviewers who have had experience in the subject of the submitted manuscript, but who are not affiliated with the same institutes as the contributor.

Author Guidelines

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Special Issue of International Conference on Electronics, Control, Optimization and Computer Science ICECOCS’20

Aims and scope:
Achieving a better solution or improving the performance of existing system is an ongoing process for which scientists, engineers and researchers have been determined for many years. In process industry, design and operation planning functions are particularly complex and a wide range of optimization methodologies are used to minimize risks and improve quality in making decisions which are becoming even harder in the era of Big Data.

More, a large amount of this data comes from different devices connected in billions to constitute the Internet of Things and it is required to provide solutions for various network related problems. Indeed, the availability of large amount of information is leading toward the definition of new optimization problems.

In the other hand, the interplay between optimization and machine learning is one of the most important developments in modern computational science. In fact, with the growth of new technologies and models in machine learning, researchers in this field have to continuously face with new challenges. In this context, Optimization methods represent key factors in designing algorithms to extract essential knowledge from huge volumes of data.

The aim of this special issue is to provide a remarkable opportunity for the scholars, researchers, academicians and industry communities in the fields of optimization and its applications in electronics and computer science to address new challenges, share experiences and discuss future research directions. This special issue is opening for submissions, including extended high-quality papers presented at IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Control, Optimization and Computer Science (ICECOCS’20), held in Kenitra, Morocco, December 2nd-3rd, 2020.

Topics of interest:
Topics include various areas of optimization and its applications which include but are not limited:
 Optimization and its applications in engineering sciences
 Optimal control : Theory and Application
 Stochastic and Probability optimization
 Optimization and Decision Making
 Learning and intelligent optimization
 Optimization in Data and Signal Processing
 Optimization in IoT and Embedded Systems
 Networking and Communications : Network and combinatorial optimization
 Big Data Optimization
